CURRENT GWACS BEING REPLACED BY ALLIANT
FEDSIM: These contracts provide IBM-compatible, UNISYS, DEC, and Honeywell mainframe computing services and support to federal agencies (civilian and military); eligible state and local agencies; and eligible private concerns operating data centers dedicated to supporting federal government agencies. Examples of this type of computing include claims adjudication, benefits delivery, payroll processing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. The contractor provides a full range of primary data processing and support services to subscribing agencies at its outsourcing centers. Primary data processing services and support services will include all the essential components and resources to service and maintain data center computing, such as hardware and software services, system back up and disaster recovery services, operations and systems support, systems and application software support, migration support, and acceptance testing support.
Outsourcing Centers: The prime contractor has established data processing facilities located in the CONUS that provide data processing, and computing support and services, to public and private concerns.
Disaster Recovery: The contractor has a disaster recovery plan for each proposed outsourcing centers. The contractor certified that it has successfully tested its outsourcing centers disaster recovery plan(s) within the past year.
Environmental Control: The contractor offers outsourcing centers that have the necessary environmental systems to sustain continuous operations of Contractor services.
Security: At each outsourcing center, the contractor provides (e.g., office space, storage space, communications and specialized equipment space) an environment to accommodate a sensitive/ unclassified system at the C-2 level of trust as defined in Department of Defense Trusted Computer System Evaluation Criteria.
FEDSIM's Computing and Communications Recovery Services: The Contractor provides FEDCAC/FEDSIM with computing and communications recovery services primarily for federal government and other government and non-government organizations that process federal and/or federally mandated applications. The computing and communications recovery services are used to test and refine organizations' contingency plans, and to restore and recover operations in the event of a declared disaster.
ANSWER: The Pacific Rim Region of the General Services Administration (GSA) FTS Acquisition Services requires information technology (IT) support services including: Design research, analysis and definition; System development and software maintenance; Facilities management support services for business, scientific and engineering applications. The Pacific Rim Region consists of California, Nevada, Arizona and Hawaii in addition to the Pacific Rim territories such as Japan, Korea, Okinawa, Guam, American Samoa, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands and the Federated States of Micronesia. Performance will take place at all of the aforementioned geographic areas.
ACES: The General Services Administration, Federal Technology Service (FTS), Office of Information Security (OIS) has a requirement for support to provide the Federal government Access Certificates for Electronic Services (ACES). This opportunity increases efficiency, productivity and citizen access to government information and services through the introduction of modern information technologies. The government believes that ACES-type support is commercially available from multiple sources, and intends to procure these services for use by select government agencies and the citizens who wish to communicate with them electronically.
