How B2B Workforce Works an Insider's Guide to Getting the Most out of Your Relationship with B2B: Working with the TDC.

Last month's newsletter covered your most frequently asked questions regarding the Accounting Department; this month we take a closer look at the TDC.

The B2B Workforce Talent Delivery Center, or TDC, is a support center to several arms of the organization including: delivery, administration, marketing, and accounting. The TDC houses our Client Services Representatives who work with the procurement departments at our major clients to open their newest requirements in our internal system so they can be filled by our Resource Managers. The TDC is also home to our enhanced Consultant Satisfaction Program. Our Consultant Job Alert and Vendor Alert programs are also run by the TDC. A few of the most frequently asked questions regarding the TDC follow:

Q: I am not receiving Consultant Job Alerts, how can I be enrolled in this program?

A: Contact Adrienne Mendez at amendez@b2bworkforce.com or Katie Kaduk at kcaruso@b2bworkforce.com and provide an updated resume to be enrolled in the Consultant Job Alert list or lists most applicable to your skill set.

Q: Does a Resource Manager receive my response when I respond to a Consultant Job Alert?

A: When you respond to a Consultant Job Alert, your response and updated resume are routed directly to a trained Sourcing Specialist who ensures all your pertinent information is up to date in our system. The Sourcing Specialist then forwards your interest in the position on to a Resource Manager who now has all the information they need to ensure that you are matched to all the current openings that fit your skill-set.

Q: What is the B2B Referral Bonus program?

A: Referral bonuses are paid for any consultant you recommend to us who is placed by B2B Workforce on a project. The referral fee is payable for up to $3 an hour for up to 1050 billable hours the referred consultant works on the project. Referrals may be routed through your B2B Workforce Resource Manager or sent in through our Candidate Alerts lists. In either case be sure to include a resume for the consultant you are referring. If your referred consultant is sending in his or her own resume he or she must specify they were referred by you so we can record the referral in our records.

Q: Sometimes I receive calls from Sourcing Specialists or other members of the TDC, what is the purpose of these phone calls?

A: Sourcing Specialists check in with you periodically to make sure you are aware of, and pleased with, the Consultant services the TDC offers such as our Consultant Job Alerts program. Recently, the TDC has begun to focus on reaching out to our currently billing consultants periodically throughout their projects. These phone calls are made on behalf of your Resource Manager by Kimberly Gendusa. These calls are in response to your requests made through our recent survey. The calls should give you a chance to request answers to questions you may have at any point during your project. The calls should give you a chance to request answers to questions you may have at any point during your project.

Q: Who do I contact for my Accenture (Ariba) specific log-in and password?

A: Beth McKee, one of our Client Services Representatives, can provide you with your Ariba log-in and password.

Hopefully you now have a clearer picture of how the B2B Workforce TDC functions within the organization and will not hesitate to reach out to us should you need our assistance.

Public Sector News and Opportunities:
Consulting Update from Keith Marsh, CMO and VP of Public Sector

This is the first of a new column we have decided to rollout as part of our overall communications to the B2B Workforce Team. As many of you may know, B2B is continually growing its Public Sector business. Our strategy has been to focus on clients and contracts that will afford us long-term growth in this sector. For this month, we will discuss recent Federal wins and in subsequent months we will discuss Aerospace & Defense, Higher Education, State & Local, and Healthcare highlights within the firm.

Why is this important to you? Simple, we continue to expand our presence on large programs and also target new opportunities for our B2B Workforce consultants. New or ongoing programs allow you to be engaged directly on billable projects, so this will help you become more informed in order to earmark upcoming programs to become engaged. On the pursuit side, B2B has started to engage consultants on for short periods of time while they are between gigs or for extra hours to support proposal, prototyping, pilots, and orals in order to win more business.

Over the next few months, we will continue to rollout out many of the programs that B2B Workforce continues to work and pursue in the public sector. For example, upcoming programs including many supporting Army, Air Force, Navy, DHS, HHS, USDA, HUD, and many other agencies. Also in the A&D space we are supporting programs at Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, and Sprit Aerospace. In Higher Ed, we support John Hopkins and Purdue. In Healthcare, we are supporting Kaiser, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and many others. So keep an eye out and let us know how you can help support these programs!

Experts explain how you can tap the power of your immune system to avoid getting sick.

By Colette Bouchez
WebMD Feature

You and a friend step into a crowded elevator and immediately notice two people coughing and sneezing up a storm.

Within a couple of days you come down with a bad cold -- and blame it on that elevator ride. Yet your friend -- exposed to the same germs at the same time -- remains perfectly healthy.

What made the difference? The power of the immune system. It's a network that can help us avoid illness -- or sometimes become the underlying reason we get sick.
