B2B Consultant Makes an Impression

Every so often, we hear about the great strides that are being made by B2B Consultants in the field. One such accomplishment was recently acknowledged by our client, a Project Manager at Microsoft, when he emailed us this chronicle about Sampson Gilbert:

"My team was tasked with taking over the Siebel Web Services project several months ago. I assigned Sampson as the tester fully knowing that he had limited experience testing web services and no experience in C# (which would be needed to modify a test tool that came with the project). Sampson jumped into this project with the usual enthusiasm he displays and very quickly had the skills needed to do the work. He ramped up while continuing his working on other projects. To successfully test the web services, Sampson needed to work with two other teams. This put him into the position of cross team troubleshooter, as he quickly became the go-to-guy when problems arose on any team. Changes to the code from one of the teams during the last few days of the project put the schedule at risk for all three teams. Rather than slip the schedule and case impact to the business, several people stepped up and did extraordinary work to ship the best release in Siebel Web Service history; and they did it on time. Sampson was a key worker in this effort and without him we would not have enjoy this success. Samson was tireless in his efforts and kept a great attitude toward all teams even when things go a bit heated. I was just plain proud. Others are being commended for their work and it is fitting that Sampson be recognized. Sampson is a great worker and I was not wrong to put him on this very important project. He has never let me down."
